Buddha was born in Nepal, at this ancient and holy place Lumbini which is about 12 miles from Bhairahawa. Taking the Taulihawa highway, you can reach Lumbini in less than half an hour. Lumbini can be reached by a highway from Pokhara. It takes about 4 hours to get there.

City being located near the Border of India and Nepal, it plays an important role in the import and export business. It is also the gateway to the birth place of Lord Buddha, the Lumbini Zone.
The main airport located in this region connects many cities and towns such as Butwal and Terai Tansen which do not have their own airport.

Bhairahawa is linked with Kathmandu by Road and Air. Reach Bhairahwa by a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu or from highway from Pokhara, Kathmandu or Chitwan.
