Star or Economy Class ?Accommodation in Nepal is very cheap in relation to other countries. Nepal's reasonably priced budget hotels, and the lavish and luxurious hotels will surprise you on just how far your money can go here. What we often forget is the Internet. Believe us. Some hotels extend special discounts for reservations made through the internet and also during off tourism season. Often prices do not include 13% Value Added Tax (VAT), and optional 2% Tourism Tax where required. Majority of Nepali hotels do have a Travel Desk, so, see how much it adds up if you were to book for everything from one place. Bargain is common even in budget hotels and we do recommend doing this, ask if prices would be cheaper for a family instead of a couple, etc. You might be surprised what by what results you get. Menu :Cheap Hotels in NepalIf running hot water, a bathroom, a telephone and a quiet single room located near the city (like Thamel street of Kathmandu) is all you want, your wallet says thank you. Go any where -- the further you are from a metro cheaper the accommodation. But it might be otherwise in Nepal. Budget in Kathmandu means Thamel. Period. It's crowded and everything is together here. But you can try your luck finding a hotel a bit further, for nothing could be even cooler yet crazy and tempting than walking in Kathmandu or sharing a public bus.
