MOF.GOV.NP - This month, we enjoyed surfing government web sites and found one that was just superb in design and content. Here you go, a site we need to bookmark and use it often.
Website of Nepal Finance Ministry offers us with enormous data such as the budget reports and so on, Closely related is the website you can use to print forms without having to visit the office, The Tax Department! http://www.ird.gov.np Much can still be done for our government sites to go far. This new domain and hosting was registered for a Nepali Student in America who once worked as a Journalist for various Nepalese News Media. Mr. Min Prasad Bhandari, the webmaster of this site presents various issues such as the story of a student in America on his blog. Check-out this chosen site of the month which is growing day by day.

The banner of the site will get you even before you read anything here. We had to tilt our head to see who is standing upside down! Where is Nepal headed ? Are there great ideas among us or young leaders who are waiting to be spotted. Join this site, write a story or send them news. Get involved with this CHOSEN SITE OF THE MONTH! To start this, a quote from the site "Nepal is a multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-cultural and multi-religious country. Taking stock of these truths, the Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal of 1990 has put forward a conceptual design to uplift the living standards of the Indigenous Nationalities - respectively known, identified and addressed as "Adibasi Janajati" - by removing all sorts of existing economic and social inequalities and to set up and develop their healthy social life based on justice and morality, thus consolidating the national integrity, and preserving such peoples' identities and cultural diversities by developing their languages, literatures, arts, scripts, religions and cultures and by creating special opportunities for their education, well-being and employment."

NFDIN - you are our site of the month. Wonderful, Wonderful are two words just enough for now. Although some contents could have been authored in English, that would have been useful for none-Nepalese. Site offers blogs, and fully categorized contents based on Indigenous Nationalities by region. A must see/read is it's Publications one of which, titled "Mother Tongue", a PDF file contains over 100 pages of useful information on Indigenous Nationality and relevant. It is just so sad that even many of us Nepalese, don't even know the flowers in our backyard! Visit this site, bookmark it, and learn something about "Adibasi Janajati"

Canlumbini.org.np - Lumbini Computer Association of Nepal. Computer Science is the first choice for most students of our nation and the information technology industry has grown beyond our imagination. Things are happening faster than we think.

Check-out this website which deserves our site of the month award. Just remember, the webmasters of Lumbini Computer Association are volunteers who are probably busy out in the fields. So expect some errors here and there on the website, but all in all, it is a step in the right direction.
