Ganatantranepal.org - (this site appears to have been parked, until further review, please type the address to check it)
Ever wonder the word Nepali news and media use the most these days ?
Ganatantra in Nepal and Republic in English might be the one. Wouldn't you agree ? Well, you will surely agree on the web world. Lots of new nepali sites are claiming that name and almost every Nepali blogger has a post or two about Republic Nepal. Don't you just love things happening for Nepal...
Ganantantra Nepal is an e-magazine which offers reports, views and news concerning our futuristic Nepal. Republic Nepal, which by the way,
is a long journey from here, but sites like these make us feel like Republic is already here in Nepal! If you like humor,
there are even some cartoons for your belly-laughs, some photos of people's demonstrations and regressions, if not there are some serious articles.
But the site is fully authored in Nepali language using Nepali Unicode/Nepali Font.
Unless you know Nepali, you are not going to enjoy this site. And for the rest of us, from a new and growing site, we shouldn't expect too much.
Check-out this chosen Nepali site of the month. And as always, Keep those fingers crossing for a everlasting peaceful, prosperous and Free Nepal. Will all those be included in our Republic Nepal ? Hope so...
Useful Resources Some are serious and some are not...

Nepal Film Producers Association (NFPA) - a new and small site yet with greater goal than
the big sites - promoting Nepal as a destination for shooting foreign movies. These days, everyone's got enough of Nepali sites of travel, tourism, news, blogs and entertainments.. it's up to the neck! Thank goodness, here and there, a new site comes to rescue.
Congratulations to the chairperson of NFPA, Mr. Ashok Sharma, who is also a directory, actor and producer, and his team for setting up a site with Nobel cause and working to promote our country and our films.
Site offers information on the organization, news links, briefs on why Nepal is a good shooting destination. There is also a list of members in PDF (`English' version would also better serve to the none Nepali speaking foreigners.)
Let us hope to see virtual tours of shooting locations, equipment, our film industry professionals, and previews of movies made in Nepal and more. When will it be coming Mr. Sharma ? A nice Nepali site more than worth a look. |

This month's award goes out to a Nepali blog site, the "Democracy for Nepal". Lots of posts and active, and the webmaster (Paramendra Bhagat) presents many
issues concerning Nepal and its link to the world.
Although it takes a shorter time to create blog sites, but it takes more time to be popular.
You must work very hard every day, and be active. If this means,
getting less sleeps, and sacrificing times with friends and family... so be it!
Our wishes? Long live Democracy for Nepal and see more of Nepali blog sites to teach us, empower us,
entertain us from the very moment we wake up from our bed.
