Many of the so called Parks are Protected and Conserved Areas and some of them are named as
National Parks or Reserves. For a traveller, they are beautiful and welcoming Parks to trek, hike and explore
the unique and richness biodiversity Nepal offers.

- Nepal Land Area : 56811 Square Miles | 147181 Sq. KM
- Total Park Area : 9303 Square Miles | 24108 Sq. KM
- Although parks are named as wildlife reserves, hunting reserves, conserved areas, national parks, etc, think of them as just park.
- 16% of Nepal is PARKS and are being extended, and new ones being created each year
- The Rest 84% of Nepal is still a "PARK" only named by the toursts as "TREKKING ZONES"
- Nearly 80% of Nepal is hillly region. Perhaps that's one reason for Trekking to be the number one sports of Nepal.
- by declaring a piece of land as a park, it helps the government and locals manage, conserve, protect endangered species and boost ecosystem
