Anuradha-Koirala Anuradha is a well-known figure in Nepal. She is the Chairperson and the Founder of a none profit social organization called 'Maiti Nepal", a Nepali organization which crusades to help victims of sexual trafficking. Maiti Nepal helps women in areas of health, education, marriage and re-establishment opportunities. The organization is funded by donor and by the products made by women working in Maiti Nepal.	Appa Sherpa Appa holds the world record in climbing Mount Everest for 15 times! Appa says he does it to earn some money to build schools for many poor and needy children of Sherpa Villages of Khumbu Valley. Did you know? Not all kids in Nepal have the opportunity to goto a school and some even don't have a school to go to..	Samrat Upadhyay Samrat brings many of the country's political and social life to the rest of the world through short stories, books and novels in English language. He is claimed to be the first Nepali-born to write books about Nepal in English Language primarily for people living in western countries. You can read his award-winning works such as the The Guru of Love, Arresting God in Kathmandu, and The Royal Ghosts.	Sunil Pant Sunil is the founder of Blue Diamond Society, a social organization which fights for the rights of Sexual Minorities in the country. Many sexual minorities are repeatedly harassed, some are even killed by the Nepalese Government. Blue Diamond Society also creates awareness programs on HIV/AID prevention.
Sudarshan Nepali - move mouse over to see him at work Sudarshan is 13 years old. He goes to a school, works at a stone crushing factory to feed his mother and 2 sisters. Kids are completely ignored in this country's war for peace and justice. Sudarshan here is a symbol representing many Nepali kids who work hard every day, go about their daily life and remain very optimistic about the future. Pushkar Shah Pushkar is on a mission to spread the word `Peace', traveling around the world in 11 years on a bicycle. Where-ever he is now, people just surround him, share a meal with-him or have a chit-chat, or just listen to his words of peace. Go see his site at the Society category, he might be visiting your country next!	Dr Bhola Rijal, the multi-talented doctor Bhola is the first male Gynecologist of Nepal. He created the first "Test Tube" baby in Nepal. He is the Chairman of a popular private hospital of Kathmandu (Om Hospital and Research Center). Bhola also wrote the script of the Nepali movie Gaunthali. He also writes lyrics.	Acharya Pum Dhundiraj Neupane Dhundiraj loves Sanskirt Language. He writes books for children. He also conducts ritual ceremonies for various Hindu Pujas usually done for a Child's Birth, a couple's Marriage, and hindu festivals such as Janai Purnima. Dundiraj remained a teacher at Budhanil Kantha school for six years. He is a highly respect priest and a radio Journalist for Metro FM radio of Kathmandu - hosting a religious program titled "Dhaarmik". Rituals are part of Nepali life.
Sadhu Baba of Pashupati Sadhu Baba is one of the oldest Sadhus living in the Pashupati Temple Area in Kathmandu. Baba spends most of his time visiting and blessing homes, in return he gets some coins, rice grains, vegetables and food. He then shares his collection with other Sadhuss in Pashupati. His hobbies includes sun-bathing, and reading palms. Sadhus usually abandon their normal life - have no kids and no wife. Rest of their life depends on the care and love of general public.	Kanishka Chaugai Captain of the Junior Cricket Team of Nepal, who took his team to winning the recent Plate Championship (Under 19/Junior) World Cup in Sri Lanka. Kanishka is optimistic about Sport being a Profession rather than Hobbies in Nepal for many hard-working talented people.	Madhav Ghimire Madhav, born in 1919 A.D., is the highly acclaimed poet of Nepal, in fact, he owns the title "The National Poet of Nepal". His works include Shankuntala and Gauri, which are among the major achievements in Nepali Literatures.	Biplav Man Singh Biplav is the President of Computer Association of Nepal, an active body promoting the use of Information Technology in the country. He is also the President of CAS trading house, a computer company which offers various name brand computers and accessories for Nepal. Nepal, being the immediate neighbor of India, which is the #1 largest software exporter in the world, Nepal has the potential to grow. Biplav works towards making Government and Private sectors serious on many IT issues to bring Nepal's Information Technology to the world.
Dhruba Nepal Dhruba is the Secretary of Human Rights Commission of Nepal, an important and active none profit organization. Dhruba and his team are as busy as the Political Leaders in finding Peace, Freedom and Human Rights in this nation.	Manjushree Thapa She is a novelist, translator and writer. The Tutor of History (2001) and Forget Kathmandu (2005) are two highly recognized books by the author.	Motilal Nepali Motilal is the Chairman of a social organization (Dalit Welfare) which is working towards Eliminating the socially unjustice practice of viewing someone as "Untouchable" based on a caste under which a person is born. There are currently more than 4 million untouchables in the country, majority of them are poor, illiterate, and deprived from their basic needs. Motilal and his team together with people like you, are creating programs to empower and educate people to gradually reduce that number to Zero!	Motilal Parajuli Motilal holds Phd. Degree in Nepali Folk-Literature. He works to preserve traditional Nepali literatures as well as folk dances. Motilal is a Nepali Folklore teacher at the Trivhuban University, Kathmandu, Nepal
